How Long Does It Take to Build a New Home?

New home development timelines can vary depending on plans, permits, availability of workers and supplies and general construction. We at CDG are proud of our project management and ability to maintain a timely schedule.

Are CDG Homes Energy Efficient?

We pride ourselves on building homes that exceed expectations when it comes to energy efficiency. On average our homes use 30%-40% less energy than typical new homes. The average new home uses 82 GJ/year and produces 3.1 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. Our homes consistently get better than average EnerGuide ratings using only 51 GJ and producing only 0.2 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year.

Do I need to Own Land Before I contact CDG Enterprises?

There are a few different land ownership options to choose from; with a pre-sale home, CDG Enterprises owns or will purchase the land to build on. With a custom home, you own the land (or purchase the land). With a move-in ready home, CDG builds homes and after completion offers them to prospective customers. These homes are turnkey with all the touches of a custom home without all the decisions. Choose the option that best fits your needs.

What is New Home Warranty?

Your new house in insured under Travelers New Home Warranty and is covered under the 5-10-20 rule CDG as the Builder’s is required to, where BC standards require to offer a full year of Builder warranty. After this is initial year is up, any additional claims can be sent directly to Travelers as your Home Insurance Company! You are provided a New Home Maintenance Manual, please keep this on record to refer to with questions about your new home! It lays all your requirements and expectations for your New Home Warranty.
